Dear Fellow Alumni,
Another enriching school year has come to a close at JIS. It has been a wonderful start to the summer, witnessing the excitement and anticipation of students as they look forward to their well-deserved holiday while reflecting on their many achievements. I’m sure you all remember how special this time can be — filled with gratitude, a great sense of accomplishment, and, of course, the bittersweet emotion of saying goodbye to friends and teachers who are moving on from JIS.
It has also been an exceptional year for our alumni community! Across the globe, Dragons came together to reconnect and strengthen the Naga Spirit in a series of successful reunions, including our first-ever gatherings in Hong Kong and Edinburgh.
We also marked the launch of our new JIS Alumni Community platform, which is quickly becoming a hub for Dragons to share updates, celebrate accomplishments, and keep up with the latest alumni news. And now that the dedicated Dragon Decades and Global Dragons Clubs are up and running, you’ll have even more opportunities to build new connections while strengthening old ones. If you haven’t joined yet, I encourage you to sign up and explore the many ways you can stay engaged.
Of course, much of our excitement is now focused on the upcoming Alumni Homecoming taking place from July 29 to August 2! In less than two months, Dragons from around the world and across generations will flock to Jakarta and Bali to celebrate JIS’s 75th Birthday together. As I write this, more than 400 alumni are planning to join us! It promises to be a truly memorable experience — one filled with friendship, nostalgia, laughter, and the shared stories that connect us as JIS Alumni.
In the meantime, I’m delighted to share with you the newest edition of Dragon News, where you’ll find more alumni whose work and achievements continue to inspire us. From advancing groundbreaking RNA research to redefining sustainable fashion and empowering emerging leaders, their stories are a reminder of the many ways Dragons are making a meaningful impact around the world.
As always, thank you for remaining such an important part of the JIS story. Whether you graduated recently or many decades ago, your support and ongoing engagement help shape our school and global alumni network in many ways.
