Join Our 75th Birthday Bash

Jakarta Intercultural School began 75 years ago under a different name, in a different era, and on a much smaller scale — with just a handful of students learning in a converted garage.

Today, JIS is a vibrant community of more than 2,100 students across three campuses, and over 45,000 alumni proudly carrying the Dragon name and spirit around the world.

What has never changed is the Dragon spirit itself: the strength of our community and the pride in shared values that last a lifetime.

This milestone is more than a birthday — it’s a moment to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate together as one global Dragon family. We can’t wait to welcome you!

75th Birthday Homecoming Program — Summer 2026

📍 Wednesday, July 29 – Back on Campus (Jakarta)
2-8 PM
Step back into your school days at JIS Cilandak! Enjoy campus tours, fun games and activities, shopping at the Dragon Store, and a BBQ dinner with friends old and new.
 

📍 Friday, July 31 – Bali Immersion at SAKA Museum
4-7 PM
Kick off the Bali weekend at the breathtaking, UNESCO-recognized SAKA Museum at the Ayana Resort, Jimbaran. Thanks to its Dragon family owners, you’ll enjoy a private visit followed by drinks and light refreshments in the spectacular Museum Gardens.
 

📍 Saturday, August 1 – The Birthday Party
The celebration peaks at the spectacular Puri Bhagawan clifftop venue in Jimbaran, overlooking the Bali sunset. After coconuts and cocktails at dusk, join your decade classmates for a night of dinner, dancing, and live music spanning every era of JIS. (Retro outfits encouraged!)
 

📍 Sunday, August 2 – Community Service (Bali)
Close the weekend by giving back. Spend a relaxed afternoon supporting a JIS partner charity in the Jimabaran area. Final details to come.

Ticket Price – All Four Events

Your ticket gives you access to the entire 75th Birthday Homecoming program, from the campus BBQ in Jakarta to the Bali immersion, the spectacular Birthday Party, and the community service event.

IDR 3,000,000 per adult

IDR 1,000,000 per child (under 18)

This ticket price is a shared participation in the overall costs. The majority of expenses are borne by JIS and our event supporters, ensuring we can celebrate together in style while keeping the contribution as low as possible for our Dragon family.

Please note that your registration for the event is not confirmed until we receive payment. The deadline for ticket payment will be March 1, 2026.

Homecoming Hotels

As you plan your trip, please note that in Bali, all the events are in the Jimbaran area. We are currently finalising the details with three hotels to secure the best possible prices for our Dragon Birthday-goers! When you register, you can request the information, which will be ready before the end of September 2025. Room prices for these partner hotels will likely range from IDR 1,000,000 to approximately IDR 3,500,000 (per night), depending on the hotel you select and when you make your booking.

Please note: the number of rooms available at the partner hotels is limited, and terms and conditions apply. We will also include in our information for registered Birthday-goers a list of alternate hotel options in Jimbaran that have been visited by the JIS event team.
