| 90s Dragons |
We were delighted to welcome back Purnima Kine (Class of 1992, left), whose indelible JIS experience spanned her formative memories from Grades 2 to 12. She brought along a very special guest: Manjula Solomon, her Grade 9 Anthropology teacher and a dedicated JIS faculty member of 25 years.
“She is one of my closest friends and a mentor; a woman who changed my life,” Purnima says of Ms. Solomon. “I love her like my mother.” We’re glad both of them had “the most fabulous time” during their visit!
Purnima now lives in Singapore, where she works as the Director of Sustainability at Kaltimex Energy. Before joining her family’s business, she was a longtime teacher whose career took her to the Canadian International School Bangalore, the American International School Dhaka, and the American Embassy School New Delhi.
